Gardai have released two men and a woman arrested after a revolver, sawn off shotgun, drug paraphernalia and a number of mobile telephones were seized in south central Dublin.

The three, two men aged 31 and 21 and the 20 year old woman, were released on Saturday. They were arrested in the raid on a flat at Longwood Avenue off the South Circular Road on Thursday evening.

The Garda press office said officers from Kevin Street station seized a revolver, shotgun, six rounds of ammunition, weighing scales and "drugs related paraphernalia" at the flat.

A spokesman said a file was being prepared and would be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
