18-year-old man hurt in Finglas shotgun attack

An 18-year-old man was recovering today after he was injured in a shotgun attack on a house in north Dublin.

An 18-year-old man was recovering today after he was injured in a shotgun attack on a house in north Dublin.

Gardaí said the attacker pulled up to the house on a motorbike, rang the doorbell and then opened fire through the front window into the living room. The incident occurred at 12.20am at Barry Drive, Finglas. The teenager was hit on the arm and received a number of pellet wounds but his injuries are not thought to be serious. The attacker fled the scene on the motorbike along Cappagh Avenue, then Mellows Road and on towards Finglas South.
