£17.9m paid to hepatitis sufferers

Awards made by the compensation tribunal for victims of hepatitis C from blood products have ranged from £15,200 to £332,756, the Minister for Health, Mr Noonan, said. He told Mr Dermot Ahern, FE chief whip, that £17.9 million had been paid in 161 awards to date.
