Kuala Lumpur - A passenger liner with more than 1,000 passengers and crew caught fire yesterday and sank off Malaysia, a rescue official said. "We have rescued more than 1,090 people," said a maritime rescue co-ordinating centre spokesman, Mr Raja Malik, after Sun Vista sank 60 miles south of Penang Island at about 2 a.m. local time. No casualties were reported.
