Last October, the warehouses, offices and shop of mail-order specialist Wines Direct were destroyed in a fire. At the time, many were amazed that managing director Paddy Keogh and his team had the business back in operation within 24 hours.
Now, less than a year later, they are to open a new 1,500 sq ft shop, located just off the N4 at the Castlepollard exit, on the Mullingar bypass. This will make it very accessible not just to those living in the Mullingar area, but also for anyone travelling west. Customers will be able to view, taste and buy wines from the Wines Direct list.
