CLOTHES LINES:Stylist Paula Hughes recently lectured students of fashion styling at the Crumlin College of Further Education in Dublin. The year-long course, which was founded by NCAD graduate Cynthia Stewart and started last September, offers students guidance on the profession, introduces them to design and the various applications of styling in the international fashion industry.

It’s the first dedicated styling course of its kind in Dublin and provides practical experience and the opportunity to work with fashion photographers. There are currently 12 students on the course, all of whom assisted Hughes in styling the Harvey Nichols spring fashion shows, with 16 models and more than 120 outfits for two shows that attracted audiences of nearly 1,000. Other professionals involved in the course are fashion designers Adele Hickey, Mary Donoghue and Gráinne Walsh, and photographer Caoilfhinn Walsh. See www.crumlincollege.ie
