CORK SONGS

Every Wednesday and Thursday of the summer, the troubadour Jimmy Crowley plays the Firkin Crane with a celebration in song of all things Cork. MALAHIDE HAS IT

This festival, which runs until Sunday, begins tomorrow with a fun fair from noon until 9.45pm in the grounds of Malahide Castle, near Bridgefield car park and the cricket club. GLENVEAGH NATIONAL PARK

This Co Donegal national park, which covers more than 16,000 hectares of the Derryveagh Mountains, has a visitor centre and the impressive Glenveagh Castle (above),

BOYLE ARTS FESTIVAL

Starting today and running until the end of the month, this festival spans everything from lectures to children’s theatre. Tonight, at 8.30pm, The Coronas start proceedings at St Joseph’s Hall (tickets €20).
