Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
Until Friday, O'Connell St southbound will close nightly from Parnell St to North Earl St from 11.30pm to 6am. Buses and taxis on Parnell Square East and Cavendish Row for D'Olier St, are being diverted via Parnell St-Marlborough St-Abbey St Lower-Beresford Place-Memorial Road-Memorial Bridge-Georges Quay-Burgh Quay. Traffic on Parnell St and Marlborough St for D'Olier St via Cathal Brugha St, will divert via Sean MacDermott St Upper-Gardiner St Lower-Beresford Place-Memorial Rd-Memorial Bridge-Georges Quay-Burgh Quay.
Until Friday, Cathal Brugha St is closed from O'Connell St Upper to Marlborough St nightly, 11.30pm to 6am. Access to Cathedral St (via O'Connell St Upper) is also inaccessible at these times.
Until Thursday April 13th, O'Connell St is closed northbound from Henry St to Parnell St nightly, 11.30pm to 6am. Traffic on O'Connell Bridge for Parnell St, will divert via Eden Quay-Beresford Place-Gardiner St Lower.
Works in Clonsilla area:
- Until tomorrow the Shelerin Rd closed from Clonsilla Rd to Ongar Rd, for road repairs.
- Until tomorrow Blakestown Rd closed from Lohunda Park to Mountview Rd/Hartstown Rd. Alternative route via Clonsilla Rd, Blanchardstown Rd South, Ongar Rd and Mountview Rd. Local access will be maintained.
LOUTH/DOWN:
Roadworks until tomorrow along N1 between Dundalk and Newry at Dromad Wood/Feedes Cross. Major delays expected.
WESTMEATH:
Delays likely tomorrow on R391 Dysart area from 8am to 6.30pm, for overlay works.
Until April 26th, delays likely on N6 Kilbeggan area from 9am to 5.30pm, for roadworks.
GALWAY:
Until tomorrow roadworks on N17 on Miltown side of Tuam near Dunmore Rd Junction, from 8am to 6pm.
LIMERICK:
Until 5pm Friday April 28th, Lower Golf Links Road closed from Ballysimon Rd for 300m north towards Castletroy. This is a 24-hour closure.
CORK:
From today until April 23rd, Boreenmanna Road is closed outbound.
Until Friday, lane restrictions on Tivoli dual carriageway, 9.30am to 4pm each day, for installation of safety barriers on the median area.
Expect delays today on Fr Dominic Rd, 9.30am to 4pm.
Also today Drawbridge St will be closed from 7pm to 11pm for gas works.
Expect delays today and tomorrow on Ballyhooly Rd between 7.30pm and 11pm, for gas works.
Delays expected tomorrow and Friday on Connolly Rd from 9.30am to 5pm.
There may be delays tomorrow on Great William O'Brien St from 7pm to 11pm.
Tomorrow a major charity walk through the south and east of Ireland, will leave Ballincollig travelling through Cork City, Midleton, Youghal, Waterford City and Fermoy before arriving in Mitchelstown. Over 100 volunteers from Clonoulty-Rossmore GAA Club will take part, expect delays and take care.
