Celbridge: from €240,000Hooke & MacDonald is releasing the first 50 units at a new residential scheme on the outskirts of Celbridge, Co Kildare,this week with prices from €240,000.

Primrose Gate, just off the Hazelhatch Road to the south-east of Celbridge and near Hazelhatch railway station, is a residential scheme of just over 300 units in a parkland setting arranged around a series of cul-de-sacs and open spaces. It has a mix of apartments, duplexes and houses which typically offer a half-brick/render finish to a building height of no more than three storeys.

Two-bedroom apartments in this release have 58-65.8 sq m (625-708 sq ft) and cost from €240,000. These typically have an open-plan living room/kitchen, are dual-aspect and some have decent-sized balconies.

Three-bedroom duplex houses of 98 sq m (1,040 sq ft) cost from €280,000. These generally have the bedrooms downstairs (the main bedroom is en suite) and the living areas above complete with a large balcony off the livingroom.

Semi-detached houses come with either three or four bedrooms. The three-bedroom semi-ds have 96 sq m (1,060 sq ft) and cost from €310,000 while the four-bed semi-ds come with 114 sq m (1,225 sq ft) and start from €350,000. Large four-bedroom detached homes are 130-159 sq m (1,410-1,710 sq ft) and cost from €425,000. Completion dates for homes in this phase are from September to December.

Celbridge is a fast-growing commuter town with good road, rail and bus links to the capital. By the banks of the Liffey, the town has a good selection of pubs, restaurants, and sports clubs, and also has one of the largest public parks - Castletown demesne - in a provincial town in the State.

Primrose Gate is being built by Barna Construction. Previous schemes by this developer include Seabrook Manor in Portmarnock and Larch Hill of the Oscar Traynor Road. Standard features include fitted kitchens, fitted wardrobes, gas-fired central heating, double glazing and Cat 5 cabling to allow for fast internet access.
