Helen Roden and Joseph Ensko of Merrion Square Interiors are holding a clearance sale in its basement premises at 82 Merrion Square, Dublin 2 (01-6761173/01-6765040).
The sale features floor model furniture, lighting and accessories, and offers a fertile hunting ground for anyone looking for one-off pieces or room accents. On sale is a round walnut-stained pedestal dining table that seats four, reduced from €1,815 to €450.
The four matching Trafalgar dining chairs are upholstered in rust-coloured Fortuny-style pleated Donghia weave and have dark walnut-stain legs. They were €665 each, now €300 each or €1,000 for the four. The chairs can be made to order, at the original price.
There’s also lovely gilded Hollywood regency-style pieces by Eugeni Colli. These include a shield-shaped mirror down from €1,519 to €950, clover-shaped stools and chairs that were €665 each and are now €200 apiece, and an oval coffee table down from €907.50 to €300.
There are numerous lamps including a pair of 1950s-style black and antique brass lamps reduced from €295.45 to €139 each, and a green glass Porta Romana lamp base with a white card shade reduced from €910 to €395. The sale ends September 30th.
