Dublin 8/from €295,000: A Section 23 launch this week will appeal to investors looking for a city centre location with tax breaks. This is the final phase at The Granary, a restoration project at Long's Place in Dublin 8. Tax relief is available on 79-99 per cent of the purchase price.

Joint agents Gunne New Homes and Lorigan Auctioneers will be taking bookings at show apartments, which open for viewing today, Friday and Saturday at noon. Prices range from €295,000 for 51.7sq m (556sq ft) one-bedroom units. Two-bed apartments of 61.9sq m (666sq ft) start at 360,000. Three-bedroom apartments of 79.9sq m (860sq ft) are priced from €420,000.

Located off Cork Street, this development integrates the restored façade of a 19th century building with contemporary architecture, creating good-sized apartments with a modern finish that should present few problems in letting out. The Granary is a project by Brian Walsh and John Maher - Maher built Newmarket Square in Dublin and The Anchorage overlooking Dún Laoghaire harbour. Architect Paul O'Toole designed their current scheme with Scandinavian pine windows and aluminium sills and roof parapet. A steel frame structure is integrated into the original stone and brick walls.

Each apartment is individual in design, many with balconies looking over the city. The high-spec fit-out includes oak doors with brushed steel handles, Valente kitchens with woodgrain doors and fully tiled kitchens and bathrooms. Sanitary ware includes Trezo cast-iron baths and Amitage Shanks and Quaitas toilets and basins. Central heating is electric and a security intercom system and lifts are in place. An internal courtyard garden is provided for communal use. A management company will look after the maintenance of the building.
