An Bord Pleanala has refused planning permission for a development of 37 apartments, four retail units and 40 car-parking spaces on the site of the former Kelso laundry at Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6.

In west Dublin, outline planning permission has been sought for 248 apartments in a six-storey block beside the main entrance to the new Tallaght Hospital. The scheme, to be carried out jointly by the Brothers of St John of God and Breydon Developments, will include health care facilities at ground floor level, residential accommodation and parking for 240 cars.
