City livingSuch is the dearth of suitable affordable accommodation in Dublin, that a competition has been launched to get people thinking innovatively about where to live.

Buyersbroker.iewants people to send it pictures of potential sites or concepts for living spaces.

The submissions can be anything – think Container City in London, where standard 40ft shipping containers have been adapted at the end of their life to provide flexible accommodation and offices at low cost.

According to buyersbroker.ie: "Rooftops, abandoned lots, tiny plots, derelict buildings, disused public spaces – we want to see them all. We are looking for opportunities to create alternative living spaces for young city dwellers who don't want to be saddled with a lifetime of debt."
