Ministers for tea on the roof

Anyone for tea? Yes, the Taoiseach and his cabinet colleagues might soon be expanding their waistlines as they indulge in cream cakes or French fancies in their very own tea room. A planning application has just been submitted by the OPW for a new single-storey tea room on the roof of Government Buildings on Merrion Street. The proposed building will be a timber and steel framed structure with a mono pitch roof.
