LISNEY WILL be relieved to have off-loaded the former home of rogue solicitor Michael Lynnat St Alban's Park, Sandymount, which has just been sold by them for €1.01 million.

The house, originally asking €1.8 million, has – like every other in Dublin – had to come down and down in value, before finally attracting a cluster of bids. Viewers found the house in increasingly tatty order over the last 12 months – one described having to wade through a pile of post that was ankle deep, no doubt from the many banks and institutions that Lynn had left high and dry.

The price won’t please the neighbours though. It’s less than half what well done-up houses were making in this enclave off Sydney Parade Avenue at the height of the boom.
