Housing planned for former Cabinteely hospital

Shannon Homes is to seek planning permission for a house and apartment development at the former St Gabriel's Hospital, Johnstown Road, Cabinteely, Co Dublin, which it recently acquired at auction for £5.7 million. The company wants to convert the listed portion of the original hospital building to a nursing home. It also wants to develop 60 four and five-bedroom houses and 60 apartments in three four-storey blocks. The hospital stands on a site of 9.5 acres
