Homes from £105,000 for first-time buyers

New showhouses open this weekend at Hollioake Home's Millbrook development at Johnstown, near Navan, Co Meath.

Prices start at £105,995 (134,590) for two-bedroom terraced houses and from £124,995 (158,710) for three-bedroom end terraces. Ross McParland is the selling agent.

Completion dates are from mid-August to September for the 30 houses to be released this week.

Sizes are 700 sq ft for the two-bed terraced units and 1,160 sq ft for the three-bedroom houses. The Millbrook scheme is signposted off the main Dublin Road on the outskirts of Navan.

A total of 124 units will be in the development when the last house is completed.

Price is a defining factor when buying outside the Dublin suburbs, with affordable starter homes attracting a large number of first-time buyers.

Hollioke will also be introducing four and five-bedroom detached houses on the Millbrook scheme in a month's time.

Prices for these are already set , from £174,995 (222,200) for detached four-beds and from £224,995 ( 285,680) for extra-large detached homes.

Showhouses will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
