Last week, an exceptionally strong price was achieved by Douglas Newman Good in Terenure when a five-bedroom double-fronted redbrick period house with large gardens at 151 Templeogue Road was sold at auction for £805,000.

Meanwhile, in Harold's Cross, 22 Shanid Road, a three-bedroom semi-detached house which has large gardens made £242,000 through Hamilton Osborne King. It was in need of some modernisation.

In Dublin 2, a three-bedroom penthouse apartment at 147a Wintergarden, Pearse Street, Dublin 2, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £305,000.

In provincial sales, a 70-acre residential farm at Kiltrassy, Windgap, Co Kilkenny, achieved £420,000 at auction through Michael F Grace.
