A new development of large family homes, set on the Faithlegg Estate outside Waterford city, offers buyers a country club lifestyle. Dating back to Tudor times, this 150-acre estate has a four-star hotel and championship golf course, and new residents can have automatic membership of the golf club and access to all the hotel's leisure facilities, which include a swimming-pool, gymnasium and tennis court. There will be 38 four and five-bedroom homes in the scheme, 10 of which are on offer this weekend. Prices start from £325,000 for a five-bedroom home.

There will be five different house styles in this McInerney development, three of which are available at this stage. A split-level four-bedroom detached 2,352 sq ft home costs £340,000; a five-bedroom 2,249 sq ft detached home costs from £325,000 to £330,000; a split-level 2,700 sq ft detached five-bed costs from £399,000 to £410,000.

All house styles have large gardens and the option of a large conservatory to the rear. O'Shea O'Toole and Partners in Waterford are selling agents for this development.

This weekend McInerney will also launch a second development of new homes in Dunmore East, Co Waterford. The developers and Hamilton Osborne King are joint selling agents. Further down the coast from the Faithlegg Estate, Fisherman's Grove is a scheme of detached, semi-detached and terraced two and three-bedroom homes with prices starting from £114,950.

Dunmore East, some nine miles south-east of Waterford city, has traditionally been a fishing and sailing village and weekend retreat for city folk. There will be a total of 61 homes when Fisherman's Grove is complete, with the first 20 on sale this weekend.

There are 46 detached and semi-detached three-bedroom homes, eight three-bedroom terraced houses and seven two-bedroom houses. Prices start from £114,950 for the two-bedroom terraced house, with the three-bed costing £122,000 and the end-of-terrace three-bed, £124,000.

A three-bedroom 1,080 sq ft house costs £132,000 for the semidetached, and £137,000 for the detached home. A larger 1,319 sq ft three-bed is priced at £137,000 for the semi and from £149,000 to £155,000 for the detached.

Fitted kitchens, en suite main bedrooms, fitted wardrobes and PVC double glazed windows are standard features. There is a tennis court on site and the development is fully landscaped.
