November 19th, Adam’s Blackrock. General auction. Irish Gothic pollard oak bookcase, €5,200; 18ct-gold rectangular pendant by AJ Torres, €4,200; mid-Victorian serpentine console table, €3,800; pair of William IV mahogany bookcases, €3,800; two Waterford crystal chandeliers, €3,500 each.

Highlights were the Jack B Yeats paintings, Reverie, €1.4 million, a new world record for the artist; Evening in Spring, €1.3 million; The Enfolding Night, €520,000; Death For The Only One, €470,000 and The Fighting Dawn, €320,000. Mainie Jellett, The Land Éire,  €110,000, a new world record for the artist; Colin Middleton, Saint John Retrospect, €36,000; Louis le Brocquy, Tinker Diviner, €28,000: Jack Yeats sketches, 33 in single lots from a sketchbook, €1,000- €14,000 each.

November 27th, John Weldon, Temple Bar. Jewellery and silver sale. Diamond single stone ring of 2.55ct, €5,750; diamond line bracelet (6.3ct in total), €7,300; Cartier 0.47ct single stone diamond ring, €1,150; Edward IV Irish silver groat, €460; 22ct; Michael Collins gold coin, €540.
