The Building Information Centre at the Dublin Institute of Technology has launched a new Web site designed to help architects, engineers, contractors and surveyors to find building products. The Web site has a listing of over 2,500 firms in the construction industry and more than 1,000 product classifications. DIT describes the service as a one-stop virtual shop for the construction industry and the intention is to deliver a first class information service and an information technology solution to the Irish construction industry.
