WHAT'S good for Dublin is good for Ireland says DIT real estate lecturer Lorcan Sirr – and in Dublin's Future, a book edited by him, which will launch tomorrow, he has gathered an eclectic mix of commentators to spell out visions for our capital.

There are essays from people such as DCU’s Ferdinand von Prondzynski, architect James Pike, councillor Dermot Lacey, and authorities on everything from literature to music to ageing to the economy. Sirr himself is writing about cities.

All sectors – private and public, profit and non-profit – have interesting things to say about Dublin’s future, says Sirr.

It’s published by The Liffey Press, price €19.95.
