The livingroom of one of six apartments on Fownes Street in Temple Bar which are to be auctioned at prices ranging up to £340,000
The final six apartments in a new development at Fownes Street in Temple Bar, Dublin 2, are to be sold at auction on June 8th. Agents Davin and Co have disclosed reserve prices of £210,000 for two onebedroom apartments, £325,000 for a twobedroom unit and £340,000 for a one-bedroom penthouse with a study.
There will be 11 apartments in all at first, second and third floor levels over a retail unit to be occupied by Urban Outfitters. Five of the apartments were sold recently.
Peter Browne of Davin expects the units to be of interest to owner-occupiers as well as investors because of the tax breaks available. Investors will be able to offset 50 per cent of the purchase price against rental income, while owner-occupiers will be able to avail of allowances worth about 25 per cent of of the cost. The apartments are being sold with furniture and fittings. Each of them overlooks a communal courtyard which will be for the use of the occupiers.
