The Kooplesis a hip new French chain from the designers of the popular Comptoir des Cotonniers, whose title, a play on the French pronunciation of couples, is a key to the market at which it is aimed – young men and women who occasionally share clothes.
Dark and casually tailored, it has a foxy unisex vibe, with everything from jeans and button-down shirts to party dresses and well-cut suits, at reasonable prices.
“We are somewhere between masculine and feminine, between Paris and London,” is the label’s manifesto, and they work with Savile Row tailors to get the silhouettes just right. With more than a dozen locations in central Paris and more due to open all over France this year, it’s a brand that’s catching on fast.
