TODAY A Night in Vienna, a concert to celebrate the golden jubilee of Enable Ireland Cork Services, takes place in City Hall, Cork. All funds will go to the group, which supports 850 adults and children with disabilities throughout the country. Tonight's concert features the Cork Pops Orchestra and the Cork Male Voice Choir. TOMORROW For a truly home-made music event, head to Project, Temple Bar, Dublin, to see a programme devised by Donal Dineen, who presents Small Hours on Today FM. Combining music with pictures, Cool Like Water is a visual celebration of the year in sound with contributors on the night including Lisa Hannigan, Iarla O'Lionaird (above) and Emmet Tinley. MONDAY The magical Spiegeltent plays host to the equally magical Chuzzle and his band tonight. The fun starts at 9pm, with support from Chris Morrin and the Mucky Kids. TUESDAY The National Ploughing Championships begin in Mogeely, Midleton, Co Cork today and run until Thursday. There'll be fashion shows, a food fair, a livestock and machinery exhibition and of course - from 10.30am each day - ploughing aplenty. For more details, see www.npa.ie.

WEDNESDAY The world's hottest salsa dancers and Cuban musicians are raising pulses at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre, with a show that fans say will take your breath away. Lady Salsa: September 26th-October 2nd. Tickets, €22.50 plus fee, from 01-6771717 or Ticketmaster.

THURSDAY If the thought of ploughing makes you feel all agoraphobic, here's an antidote. Audience of Two is running all week in the rear of the shop 5 Scarlett Row, Temple Bar, Dublin, as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival. The tiny gallery can accommodate just two people, to listen to the ambient music of Karl Him. Tickets, €10, from www.fringefest.com.

FRIDAY The fine art of burlesque is explored through art with Confessions of a PonyGirl, a first exhibition of drawings and paintings by Emma J Pearson in the Attic Gallery, Clare Street, Dublin 2. The exhibit looks at the bohemian world of Dublin burlesque performers and features sumptuous corsetry and fabric work by Aoibhe Glynn. Viewing strictly by appointment.
