RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW:Nest Egg is a new neckpiece collection from Irish goldsmith and gemmologist Seán Osborne, known for his "symbolic, ironic, erotic designs".
This pendant features 15 pure gold balls and a diamond encased in a silver egg and guarded by a gold snake. “They will always be a nest egg,” he says, pointing out the richness of colour of the 24-carat gold balls and suggesting that some might interpret the diamond as a fertilised egg. The pendants cost from €700 to €3,200. Osborne’s collection also features what he calls “halo” diamond rings, inset with diamond-studded crosses. Tel: 01-6792602.
