When it comes to future techno stars, all eyes are on Reykjavik newcomer Bjarki (above). Thanks to a couple of strong releases for Nina Kraviz's Trip label (especially big-room banger Arthur And The Intergalactic Whales) and excellent word of mouth about his live set, Bjarki has become a name to be reckoned with. Support from Sam Greenwood and Eoin Donovan.

Rise Up mark five years on the go by joining forces with Bastardo Electrico for a big night at the re-jigged Pav. Part of the Hessle Audio team alongside Ben UFO and Pearson Sound, McAuley’s own releases, especially the darker, harder tech tracks on his Hadal label, are well worth further examination. Support tonight from Jamie Behan and Harry.

In the aftermath of a high-school shooting, conducted by his best friend, a luckless Texan teenager is suspected of being an accomplice and duly flees the state. In the media circus that follows in DBC Pierre’s sensational debut novel, adapted for the stage by Tanya Ronder, Vernon Little becomes a reluctant celebrity, pursued by townspeople, would-be reporters and various exploiters. Decadent Theatre, who have long sided with the underdog, now bring Vernon around the country, starting with Galway.
