American born, Cornwall-based singer/songwriter McQuaid continues her extensive Irish tour to celebrate the release of her latest album, If We Dig Any Deeper It Could Get Dangerous. To accompany the album release and tour, Sarah has teamed up with filmmaker Brett Harvey for a music video/short film to accompany her song, Slow Decay, a story of Bill Conner, whose late daughter, Abby's organs were donated following her death.

Na Píobairí Uilleann presents Session with the Pipers, a monthly recital of traditional music and song. May will feature Clare piper Tara Howley, fiddle and flute duet John McEvoy and John Wynne, and a first appearance at the long-running concert series by singer Eamonn Hunt.

Landless

Landless are Dublin/Belfast foursome, Lily Power, Meabh Meir, Ruth Clinton and Sinead Lynch, who sing unaccompanied traditional songs in four-part harmony. Tonight they'll sing songs from their album, Bleaching Bones.

Féile Chois Cuain

This year's weekend festival opens with Mol An Óige, a concert featuring young local and visiting musicians in Louisburgh's Parochial Hall at 7.30pm. The weekend's busy programme includes a raft of instrument workshops, a céilí and two gala concerts, with guest musicians including Pádraig Ó Ceannabháin, Antaine Ó Faracháin, George MacAdam, Shane McGowan, Geraldine McNamara, Caitríona Ní Cheannabháin and many others. Intimate sessions will flow from every pub in the village too.

Brona McVittie

Singer and harpist from Co Down, and member of The London Lasses, acapella ensemble Rún and post-folk trio Littlebow, McVittie recently released her solo debut, We Are The Wildlife, a reflection on the interconnectedness of things natural and man-made, inspired by both rural and urban scapes.
