Massive Attack announce Dublin concert

European tour announcement timed to coincide with news of new music release

British trip hop pioneers Massive Attack have announced an extensive run of headline European shows, starting with a concert in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on January 19th.

While the tour is the Bristol band's first standalone headline tour in over five years, they recently played in Ireland when they closed the Longitude Festival at Dublin's Marlay Park in July, 2014.

Formed in Bristol in the late 1980s, Massive Attack consisting of Robert '3D' Del Naja and Grant 'Daddy G' Marshall, have recorded 5 studio albums including the acclaimed Blue Lines (1991) featuring the hit Unfinished Sympathy, Protection (1994) and Mezzanine(1998).

The tour announcement coincides with the news that the band is planning to release new music later this year. Their last studio album, Heligoland, was released in 2010.
