McCartney for the O2:Paul McCartney will give a big thumbs up to Dublin on December 20th when he plays the O2. Tickets are on sale from next Wednesday.

Best places to play:The second annual IMRO Live Venue of the Year Awards will take place in December. The country's hotspots will battle it out for the accolade of "Best Nationwide Live Venue" (won by Vicar St last year) and regional awards.

Lips do Floyd:The next Flaming Lips album will be a recreation of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, says frontman Wayne Coyne. The album will also feature Henry Rollins and Peaches, and is likely to be released via iTunes.
