Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two

The launch of Epic Mickey 2 on the PS3 didn't earn much love from reviewers. It receives a second outing on the PS Vita, in a version that takes advantage of the touchscreen capabilities of Sony's handheld Vita to help Mickey paint the world around him. Mickey is back in Wasteland, where all the forgotten Disney characters are languishing, ready to transform the world with a magic paintbrush. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is a playable character, armed with a remote control that can command electricity. Oswald is also used to play in two-player co-op mode, using wifi to connect the two games devices. The smaller screen is more forgiving of some of the graphical flaws that dogged the PS3 version, so it's less likely to grate as players move through the worlds. The Vita's motion-sensitive controls can also be used to good effect in the racing sections, where you can tilt to move. A good effort that is far more suited to the Vita.
