An AFP news agency report headed "Pressure group campaigns to indict Saddam for war crimes" in yesterday's editions said the UN Secretary General had backed a plan by the pressure group, Indict, to campaign for an ad-hoc tribunal to indict Saddam Hussein. The United Nations Information Centre advises that the Secretary-General has taken no such position on the proposed ad-hoc tribunal.

A report headed "Commission rebukes State about `breach' of EIS directive" in last Saturday's editions said a complaint had been made to the European Commission by Lancefort Ltd and An Taisce. In fact, the complaint was made by Lancefort and Friends of the Irish Environment.
