In some editions of Tuesday's paper, it was incorrectly reported that film director John Boorman had won a Best Director award at the Cannes film festival 14 years ago for Cal. Mr Boorman won a Best Director award in 1970 for Leo the Last.
Cal, in fact, was directed by Pat O'Connor. The error occurred during the editing process.
