Rich Hall
Andrews Lane Theatre
September 28th-October 2nd, 8.30 p.m.
A must-see show. US comic Rich Hall is well known to Irish audiences thanks to some barnstorming appearances at The Cat Laughs festival over the years and he will be bringing his "Otis Lee Crenshaw" character - a reformed convict - to the Fringe.
Travellin' Light/Dehydrated
Samuel Beckett Centre
October 4th-9th, 7 p.m.
Taking the Michael out of the Irish dramatic tradition are well known comics Owen O'Neill and Sean Hughes, who combine to act out two half-hour shows. The first play, Travelling Light, is an hilarious deconstruction of Synge's Playboy of the Western World which also includes a few knowing references to Martin McDonagh's The Lonesome West. They were winners of a "Fringe First" award at this year's Edinburgh Festival.
Kevin Gildea and Guests (Fringe)
The Castle Inn, Lord Edward Street
October 5th-6th, 8 p.m.
A new take on the stand-up theme here: Irish comic Gildea will be accompanied by guitarist Sean Miller in a sort of comedy musical.
From September 29th to October 2nd, the Carrolls Comedy Club sets up camp at the Laughter Lounge. Some of the highlights include:
Colin Murphy
