Body of man (30s) found in house in Castlebar, Mayo

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a man (30s) in Castlebar, Co Mayo.

Emergency services attended the scene shortly after 9am on Thursday after they were alerted that a man was found unresponsive at a residential property. He was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.

The coroner and State Pathologist have been notified, and the scene remains preserved.

A postmortem will be arranged and the outcome will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
