Nexus 7
€250
Apple’s iPad Mini may be trying to steal some of Google’s thunder, but the Nexus 7 is still worth a look. Google’s tablet is of the seven-inch variety, compact enough to fit in your hand, yet still big enough to comfortably browse websites and watch the odd movie here and there. It does everything you’d like it to: its quad core processor is fast, it has a great screen and it won’t break the bank either.

Xperia T
From €89 on billpay,
€449 on prepay
Sony has some stiff competition in the Android market. But how many manufacturers can say they have James Bond on their side? The Xperia T is the Bond phone – it was used in the current movie Skyfall – and, like the secret agent, there’s a lot more going on than just the shiny surface. The Xperia T comes with a 13MP camera and has a 4.6-inch screen. It runs on a 1.5ghz chip, with Android’s Ice cream Sandwich operating system, and has 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded with a micro 32GB SD card.
If it’s good enough for Bond . . .

BubbleScope
€86
You could take a photo with a panorama app on your phone. But unless you’ve got steady hands, you might find a few wonky lines and the odd image weirdness here and there. The solution is BubbleScope. The attachment for your iPhone simply clips on with a case, there’s an app to download, and you can start shooting 360-degree panoramic images without any fuss. It also works for video.
