Mobile operator Three Ireland promises free 4G ‘for life’

New 4G Plus service with speeds of up to 225Mbps announced by Three

Three Ireland has reversed a decision to introduce charges for 4G data.

The State’s second-largest mobile operator with approximately two million subscribers, has instead offered free 4G access “for life” across all its price plans.

The news comes as the company introduced a new 4G Plus service, which it said would provide speeds of up to 225 megabits per second (Mbps).

The service is currently only available in parts of Dublin but is to be rolled out across the country by the end of April.
