The Pensions Board is surveying occupational pension scheme trustees to determine their training levels and awareness of their responsibilities. This is the first in a series of surveys that the board plans to conduct on trustee training.
More than 570 trustees with responsibility for schemes of varying types and sizes have been asked to participate in the Trustee Training survey. The questionnaire covers eight areas including awareness levels of duties and responsibilities, evaluation of training received, availability of paid time off for trustee training and difficulties associated with getting paid time off from employers for training.
