SOFTWARE FIRM Lumension is to create 20 jobs in Galway

SOFTWARE FIRM Lumension is to create 20 jobs in Galway. The company, which already employs 30 people in the city, develops software that helps firms protect their computer data.

Galway is home to the firm’s international centre for product research and development, customer support and auxiliary services.

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, Batt OKeeffe, described Lumension’s expansion plans as “very encouraging for Ireland’s information communications technology sector”.

“The Galway operation is a key component of Lumension’s global activities and the software engineers should be very proud of their role in helping the firm to exceed its growth targets,” he said. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Lumension has operations worldwide including Virginia, Texas, Utah, Florida, Luxembourg, Britain, Australia and Singapore.
