CERT, the State tourism training agency, has appointed a new chief executive, Mr Shaun Quinn. Mr Quinn is currently head of marketing at An Bord Bia.
He joined the food board in 1995 and was its strategic planning director for a year.
Accounting, taxation and consulting firm Deloitte & Touche has appointed Mr William Dolan as senior manager in the management consulting division, specialising in information technology.
Mr Dolan has previously worked for Siemens Nixdorf, JBA Ireland and Andersen Consulting.
The Institute of Management Consultants in Ireland (IMCI) has elected Ms Monica Flood as president. Ms Flood is managing director of MF Computer Services, consultants in computer training and systems development. She is the first woman to hold the IMCI presidency.
Norwich Union Ireland has appointed Mr Kevin Garland as director of group IT. He is leaving a position with Irish Life.
Guinness Ireland Group has appointed Mr Steve Topliss as operations manager of the Great Northern Brewery in Dundalk, Co Louth. Mr Topliss joins the company from Bass in Burton-on-Trent where he held the position of brewing manager.
The company has also appointed Mr David Varian as operations manager of the Dundalk packaging division. Mr Varian joins the company from ICI.
Ms Denise Doyle has been appointed to the client service team of Brian Wallace Advertising. Ms Una Kelly is becoming account director at the same company after leaving a position with Campaign HTDS where she worked on accounts like Mace and Dell Computers. Mr Dwayne Kirk is to work in the client services department of the company after periods working with Bank of Ireland and the Irish Car Buyers' Guide.
Mr Michael Cunningham, the secretary of the Jones Group has become the chief executive of the support organisation for depression sufferers, Aware. Mr Cunningham is the first chief executive of the organisation.
Ms Sheila Murphy has been appointed assistant general manager for Cork Airport by Aer Rianta. Ms Murphy has been with Aer Rianta since 1972 and has held several positions in the company, particularly in the duty free area.
Mr Tony Kelly, previously manager (technical services) with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, has joined the Dublin-based accountancy firm, Byrne Curtin Kelly as a partner.
Donegal Creameries has appointed Mr Matt McNulty, the former director general of Bord Failte, as non-executive director.
