Sentia Technologies, the Irish custom software company, has acquired Webcandy Design for an undisclosed sum. Sentia specialises in Internet consultancy for small to medium-sized businesses.

Mr Keith O'Loughlin, chief executive officer of Sentia, said the company had worked with large companies in Ireland and Britain and was now expanding its client base to include the small to medium-sized business sector.

Sentia specialises in providing customised financial and business applications for companies and employs 10 people in Dublin.
