National Australia Group has appointed Mr Don Price as chief executive of National Irish Bank and Northern Bank. Formerly chief operating officer of Northern Bank, Mr Price replaces Mr Grahame Savage who has taken up the position of managing director of National Australia Group, Europe.
At the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland, Ms Colleen Quinn has been appointed manager of services to members, and will edit the body's publications including the CPA Journal of Accountancy.
Apax Partners & Co Capital, the Irish arm of the private equity and investment banking group, has appointed Mr Brian Stephens as a director. Mr Stephens has moved from ACT Venture Capital's London office. Mr John Tierney, a former finance director of Guinness Peat Aviation has been appointed as non-executive director.
The former marketing manager of An Bord Bia, Mr Shaun Quinn, has been appointed chief executive of CERT, the national body responsible for personnel training for the tourism industry.
The new director of manufacturing for Fruit of the Loom Ireland is Mr Joe Mullan, formerly head of apparel, replacing Mr Andy McCarter who is retiring from his position of managing director.
Mr Andrew Thompson has been appointed the associate quantity surveyor for the western region for Patterson Kempster and Shorthall (PKS) Quantity Surveyors and Cost Consultants. Among his projects will be the redevelopment of Limerick Regional Hospital and Shannon Airport.
Mr Terry Rowan has been appointed chairman of the Irish Fashion Group of Manufacturers, the marketing group representing the interests of fashion manufacturers.
