Oasys Financial Software (www.iol.ie/oasys), the Dublin-based company established by former Reuters UK software engineer Mr Peter Owens, has developed a new software module called Pre-emptive Prospector. Using artificial intelligence techniques, it identifies sales opportunities "on the fly" during a sales inquiry, whether by telephone, in the branch, through a Web page or other channels. The product is aimed at the international financial services industry and is being introduced in Ireland and Britain initially.
