A new Irish consultancy company, Norkom Technologies, is to create 50 jobs over the next two years.

A new Irish consultancy company, Norkom Technologies, is to create 50 jobs over the next two years.

The company, which specialises in business intelligence, currently employs 20 people. The company was formed in February and is providing consulting across all areas of business intelligence covering knowledge management, data mining and data warehousing. The market for business intelligence is worth $3.6 billion (£2.5 billion) in Europe and is expanding at a rate of 35 per cent per annum. The consulting proportion of this market has grown from 12 per cent in 1993 to an expected 33 per cent in 1998.
