The average price of a second-hand property in Dublin rose by around 1.4 per cent during the first quarter of 2001, according to Sherry FitzGerald's quarterly index. It said the pace of house price inflation should rise for the rest of the year, with overall levels of between 8 and 10 per cent for 2001.
