Anglo Irish Bank has launched a high-return deposit account product called 50/50. The new account offers earnings of 11.46 per cent gross over two years and a competitive compound annual rate of 5.57 per cent per annum.

The minimum investment required to open a 50/50 account is £2,000 (€2,540) and customers are allowed unlimited access to 50 per cent of the funds without penalty.
