The Irish Academic Press, a publishing company which specialises in the publication of historical, arts and political titles, has been acquired by Conor Graham.

Mr Graham has previously worked as sales and marketing manager for Brookside Publishing Services and commercial director of New Island Books. He has been involved in the Irish Academic Press since the death of its founder Frank Cass in 2007.

The company was established in 1974 and counts Garrett FitzGerald’s Reflections on the Irish State and Edward MacLysaght’s The Surnames of Ireland among its titles. Its range of books span Irish history, literary studies, 20th century military and political history, as well as books in the areas of media, women’s studies and genealogy.
