THE State's first energy training facility was officially opened by the Minister for Enterprise and Employment, Mr Bruton, in Cork yesterday at the FAS training centre. It will provide training for those working in the oil and gas industries and cover full-time, day, evening, and Saturday courses, as well as apprenticeship courses designed to meet the needs of employers. Mr Bruton said the new facility was a model the Government would like to see being followed by others, especially as energy, energy management and environmental protection was such an important aspect of modern enterprise.
