Tullow Oil says it has made a discovery at its licence in offshore Ghana, revealing oil, gas and gas condensate.

The find was made at the Teak-2 exploration well in the West Cape Three Points licence, in which Tullow has a 22.896 per cent interest, and included 27 metres of net hydrocarbon bearing Campanian and Turonian reservoirs.

The company said yesterday that the well was targeting an undrilled fault block between the Jubilee field and the Teak-1 discovery.

Six metres of net oil and gas pay were found at the top of good quality Campanian reservoirs, Tullow said.
