Data storage systems maker EMC, which employs just over 1,600 people in Ovens, Co Cork, has said there will be no job cuts in Cork, despite a 75 per cent fall in second-quarter earnings. Last September it announced a #23.20 million expansion of its Cork services facility, creating 300 jobs. An EMC spokeswoman said this expansion was on target. "So far 200 of the 300 staff have been recruited and the project is due to be completed next year," she said.
